ISRAEL – Mud Cat recently commissioned a brand-new MC 100E electric dredge for Admir Projects Ltd. at a wastewater plant in Israel. The MC 100E will dredge sludge from wastewater ponds and pump it to geotextile tubes for dewatering. Amir is another repeat buyer with multiple Mud Cat and IMS Versi-Dredge units and is a leading dredge contractor in Israel.
“We are completing the first project using our new Mud Cat MC 100E. This dredger is a breakthrough machine in our sludge dewatering activities using geotextile tubes. The capacity is very high and the controlling system features are doing a far better job. Using the MC 100E for organic sludges in geomembrane-lined ponds and reservoirs is efficient and cost-effective,” said Amir Auerbach of Admir Projects Ltd.
The Mud Cat MC 100E produces 3,000 gpm (680m3/hr.) against 75 ft. (22.9m) head and dredges to a maximum depth of 20 ft. (6m). The 7 ft. 6 in. (2.3m) wide cutterhead creates an even bottom profile as it takes out uniform, parallel layers of material with minimum suspended solids. Weighing only 9,000 lbs. (4,082 kg), the MC 100E can outperform dredges twice its weight and for significantly less money.
“We are happy to see another repeat customer like Admir who has worked with our dredges for many years. The MC 100E is a unique electric dredge that exceeds the depth and pump performance of most of the diesel auger dredges in the industry making it a very intelligent investment at its very affordable price point,” said Ryan Horton, Vice President, Ellicott Dredge Technologies, LLC.
Admir has successfully used Mud Cat and IMS brand dredges in Israel and Russia with projects ranging from wastewater treatment plants to large inland lakes using geotextile tubes for dewatering.
